You will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the OPEX Accounting Department. To be successful in this position, you will need to have a relevant intermediate vocational education qualification, good knowledge of financial systems, and key competencies such as accuracy, stress resistance, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience in an accounting role and knowledge of ERP systems, such as Microsoft AX Dynamics, would be an advantage.   • Process financial and accounting transactions and resolve related problems;
  • Perform month-end tasks and ensure the accuracy of reported figures;
  • Prepare monthly balance-sheet account reconciliations;
  • Prepare journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close-to-record accruals and proper balance-sheet classifications;
  • Perform additional ad-hoc tasks to support the wider finance team;
Requirements
  • Relevant intermediate vocational education qualification (MBO+/HBO or equivalent);
  • Good knowledge of financial systems;
  • Key competencies: accuracy, stress resistance, problem-solving skills;
  • Previous experience in an accounting role and knowledge of ERP systems, such as Microsoft AX Dynamics, would be an advantage;
  • Essential data-entry skills, an eye for detail, and familiarity with Accounts receivable and other general-ledger-related tasks;
  • Hands-on experience in month-end close activities, a very good understanding of all balance-sheet accounts, and experience with Dutch VAT returns would be desirable;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English and Dutch;
