Job Description

We're seeking a Data Insights and Optimization Analyst Intern to join our international headquarters in Utrecht. As a Data Insights and Optimization Analyst Intern, you'll work with our dynamic Ecosystem to extract valuable insights. Your key activities will include conducting a comprehensive inventory of data, analyzing usage patterns, and providing recommendations for strategic enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive inventory of data within our Ecosystem
  • Analyze the usage patterns of different data attributes, identifying high-impact data fields and underutilized areas, and providing recommendations for strategic enhancements
  • Quantify the volume and significance of data points associated with each field, offering a comprehensive view of our data landscape
  • Analyze the relation of data usage with the user profile (optional)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather additional insights and context about data usage and dependencies
  • Document findings in clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations

Requirements

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands-on experience with food research activities is always a benefit
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from the 2nd of September to January
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 3 - 4 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence

Eligibility Criteria

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship
