About this position
TNO is at the forefront of innovation, driving sustainable solutions to address the environmental impact of plastics. As a Polymer Informatics Intern, you will play a crucial role in shedding light on novel bio-based plastics, leveraging state-of-the-art techniques in an interdisciplinary project where material science meets artificial intelligence.
Your role
You will work in a passionate team of scientists, consultants, and project managers, utilizing your skills in programming and polymer science. This internship aims to provide students with a taste of research outside academia and collaboration with stakeholders across the value chain.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need in-depth knowledge of data science and polymer science. Data science involves gathering, curing, and reviewing data from literature, as well as generating data using experiments and simulations (DFT, MD, etc.). Basic knowledge of Python is required, although fluency is a bonus. You will work in Utrecht for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
