Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of €65,000 per year, 8% holiday pay, 27 holidays, and 13 ADV days. Additionally, you will receive a travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre, PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%, profit sharing based on company results, and other benefits including a bicycle plan and company fitness.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer Interior with a specialization in Joinery of Accommodation and Technical Spaces to join our team at Damen Naval in Vlissingen. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful subcontracting and detailed engineering of joinery/accommodation systems for our naval vessels. Your expertise will transform design concepts into precise technical specifications, oversee the engineering process, and maintain compliance with stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
  • Create detailed technical specifications for joinery works, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select suitable materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
  • Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished joinery meets required standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the production team, resolving any issues that arise during the project.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of joinery specifications, changes, and project progress.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of joinery works with other ship systems.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and best practices related to joinery works, incorporating them into projects where appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Architecture, or a related field, as well as proven experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or similar role, focusing on joinery works in the maritime industry. You should also have deep knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards, proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings and specifications, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Location and Work Environment
