Technical Specialist Propulsion Systems Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist in Propulsion Systems to join our team at Nouvall Engineering Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the engineering, advisory, and developmental efforts related to propulsion systems and auxiliary mechanical components on ships.
Key Responsibilities- Directing the technical aspects of research, proposals, and engineering projects, providing innovative solutions for complex challenges and deliverables.
- Assisting in design reviews and validation tests to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Actively participating in the ongoing enhancement and promotion of your expertise, championing innovation in the field.
- Producing high-quality engineering output within agreed timelines and budgets while adhering to all relevant requirements.
- Initiating continuous improvement efforts within the department, facilitating knowledge transfer and professional development.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, coupled with at least five years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of propulsion systems and mechanical components, such as cooling and HVAC systems, ideally gained in naval project settings.
- A foundational understanding of maritime system dynamics and control systems.
- Experience in academic research and collaboration within the naval shipbuilding or related industries is preferred.
- Proficient command of both Dutch and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent references, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the hiring process.
