We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Nouvall Engineering Services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex automation systems for naval vessels, ensuring compliance with rigorous regulations and standards.
- Craft automation concepts for intricate processes, covering a diverse array of onboard systems, including critical defensive and deterrent systems.
- Develop functional descriptions and engineering documentation for automated ship systems, including specification documents for automation components and installation procedures.
- Draft comprehensive test and validation plans to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements during virtual and real-world testing phases.
- Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely project contributions, reviewing and integrating their designs into vessel designs.
- Establish standards and methodologies for detailed engineering and commissioning, providing technical support and commissioning activities for contracted projects.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA), preferably in maritime, offshore, or industrial settings.
- Proven experience in complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple suppliers/subcontractors.
- Familiarity with model-based system engineering (MBSE) in accordance with the V-model.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong references, as pre-employment security screening is standard.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
