Senior Clinical Practitioner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Position Overview: We are seeking applications for the role of Full-time Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the Faculty of Dentistry. This position is intended to commence on a two-year fixed-term basis.
Qualifications Required: Candidates applying for the role of Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, applicants should demonstrate substantial clinical experience and provide evidence of ongoing professional development through continuing education or formal advanced training, such as a Membership in Dentistry/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through examination, Advanced Education in Dentistry/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery via examination, or an MDS degree or its equivalent.
Specific Requirements for Senior Clinical Practitioner: To qualify for the Senior Clinical Practitioner position, candidates must also possess a Fellowship by examination (or formal assessment) or Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through examination, or hold a clinical specialist status or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have a recognized clinical reputation, supported by extensive clinical or teaching experience, regional publications or presentations, and acknowledgment of clinical excellence in comprehensive dental patient care, ideally with a higher qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Compensation and Benefits: A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include annual leave, medical coverage, and a contract-end gratuity, along with a University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, amounting to up to 15% of the basic salary. For positions classified as Senior Clinical Practitioner, housing benefits will be provided where applicable.
