Senior Clinical Practitioner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Position Overview: Applications are invited for the role of Full-time Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the Faculty of Dentistry. This position is set to commence on a two-year fixed-term basis.

Qualifications Required: Candidates applying for the role of Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or its equivalent. It is essential to demonstrate substantial clinical experience along with proof of ongoing professional development, which may include advanced education credentials such as a Membership in Dentistry/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through examination, or an MDS degree or equivalent.

Additional Requirements for Senior Clinical Practitioner: Applicants must also possess a Fellowship by examination (or through formal assessment) or Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by examination, or a recognized clinical specialist status. Candidates should have a reputation for clinical excellence, supported by extensive teaching experience, regional publications, and recognition in the field of comprehensive dental patient treatment, ideally with a higher qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Compensation and Benefits: A competitive salary will be offered based on qualifications and experience, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The fixed-term appointment will include a contract-end gratuity and a University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, amounting to up to 15% of the basic salary. For those in Senior Clinical Practitioner roles, applicable housing benefits will be provided.
