Naval Engineer for Shock and Vibration Design

Damen Shipyards is a leading manufacturer of advanced naval vessels, with a focus on innovative design and cutting-edge technology. We are currently seeking a skilled Naval Engineer to join our team as Specialist Shock & Noise.
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing shock and vibration mitigation systems for our naval vessels. You will work closely with our structural engineers, suppliers, and customers to define and negotiate requirements, standards, and norms. Your expertise in underwater shock and inboard noise onboard ships will be invaluable in ensuring the comfort and safety of our passengers and crew.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical engineering, or Aerospace engineering. You must have knowledge of and experience with underwater shock and inboard noise onboard ships, as well as experience with design of flexible mountings and relevant software tools. Good command of English written and verbal is also required, along with excellent references and permanent EU citizenship.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per year, 8% holiday pay, 27 holidays, travel allowance, PME-pension arrangement, profit sharing, working from home policy, and other benefits. This includes an estimated annual salary range based on the location, industry, and job requirements.
