Job Title: Naval Vessel Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Naval Vessel Design Engineer to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing advanced naval vessels for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design naval vessels with a focus on shock and vibration mitigation
- Collaborate with structural engineers and suppliers to ensure design requirements are met
- Develop and implement design solutions to reduce underwater noise and sonar self-noise
- Conduct full-scale testing and validation on board
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
- Knowledge of underwater shock and noise, as well as experience with design of flexible mountings
- Proficiency in software tools such as 6-DOF, FEMAP, and ANSYS
- International standards knowledge, including STANAG, IMO, and Class
