Damen Naval is a leading naval shipbuilding company that designs and builds advanced naval vessels for customers worldwide. As a Senior Logistics Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our naval vessels throughout their lifecycle.

Job Description

As a key member of our Integrated Logistics Support team, you will work closely with other disciplines to develop and deliver high-quality ILS products. Your primary focus will be on analyzing maintenance plans, technical documentation, supply support, and training programs to increase the operational readiness and availability of our vessels while minimizing costs.

  • Analyze maintenance plans and tasks to identify areas for improvement and optimize vessel performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including S1000D standards, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide supply support, including special tools and test equipment, to ensure timely delivery and minimize downtime.
  • Design and deliver training programs for technical personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing ILS analysis, such as Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) studies.
  • Cooperating with the technical design department to ensure seamless integration of logistics support into vessel design.
  • Delivering ILS products and services within specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Assisting in drafting and reviewing proposals for new projects and improving existing ILS products and processes.
  • Preparing training materials and conducting training sessions for technical personnel.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or logistics.
  • Significant experience in ILS and project management, preferably in a naval or defense industry environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of technical regulations, standards, and drawings applicable to naval vessel construction.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with proficiency in additional languages like German and Spanish an advantage.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometer. You will also have the opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects, contributing to the development of Damen Naval's strategic technology roadmap.
