We are seeking a skilled Naval Engineering Application Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of advanced naval vessels.

The Role

As a Naval Engineering Application Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the engineering functions within our Computer Aided Design (CAD) platform, focusing on Cadmatic across the product lifecycle process. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Translating engineering business needs into functional specifications for application developments.
  • Analyzing issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devising solutions.
  • Developing and implementing application processes and functionalities.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
  • Managing interfaces between applications and Cadmatic.
  • Maintaining user access rights administration within the application.
  • Setting up and configuring project environments within Cadmatic.
  • Organizing application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support.
  • Providing functional support to PLM/CAD users regarding Cadmatic.
  • Preparing and developing CADMATIC training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals.

Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with the Cadmatic platform, ideally also affinity with CATIA and the 3DExperience platform (Dassault Systemes).
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
  • Ability to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands.
  • Excellent references and antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required, candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around €50,000 - €65,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive:

  • A 27-day holiday entitlement and 13 ADV days.
  • A travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometer.
  • PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%.
  • Profit sharing based on company results.
  • Working from home policy and other benefits including a bicycle plan and company fitness.
