Job Summary
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Group Finance team in Amsterdam, focused on owning the trial balance(s) for the LATAM region and supporting regulatory compliance with recent payment licenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the local financials for two LATAM entities (Brazil and Mexico), ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth in a scalable, controlled, and compliant manner.
- Manage the general ledger, including working with Accounts Payable Accountant and Tax Accountant to ensure completion of monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
- Review OPEX variance analysis during month-end close process.
- Prepare Regulatory Reports to the Central Bank.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement to drive initiatives that help scale the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control/accounting; experience with regulatory reporting is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Taxation (Commerce).
