Role Overview: Financial Controller
We are seeking a Financial Controller to enhance our Group Finance team, focusing on managing the trial balances for the LATAM region and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards associated with our payment licenses. This role involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to support sustainable business growth in a controlled and compliant manner. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the financials for our LATAM entities, specifically in Brazil and Mexico, and will possess a keen understanding of how these operations align with our global objectives.
As part of the centralized Financial Controlling team, you will be engaged in a variety of significant topics that extend beyond the LATAM region, contributing to the financial integrity of a registered and publicly listed institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations for LATAM entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations;
- Collaborate with Group Finance departments (Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Tax) and external stakeholders, managing the general ledger, including coordination with Accounts Payable and Tax Accountants to finalize monthly accruals, journal entries, fixed asset management, and depreciation schedules;
- Conduct reviews of OPEX variance analysis during the month-end closing process;
- Prepare regulatory reports for submission to the Central Bank;
- Provide assistance during internal and external audit processes;
- Support initiatives aimed at process improvement and system enhancements to facilitate organizational scaling.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in financial control or accounting, with a preference for candidates with regulatory reporting experience;
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese is essential;
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation is required.
