Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about functional programming, have a strong background in Scala, and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing scalable systems using modern functional programming approaches;
  • Maintaining existing applications to ensure they deploy and run 24/7 on our Kubernetes platform;
  • Writing unit tests and collaborating with the development team to deliver high-quality code;
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest programming trends and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent;
  • Proven experience in delivering production software using Scala or comparable experience;
  • Prolific knowledge of functional programming principles;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

We appreciate candidates with experience in Cats, Scalaz, Cats Effect, ZIO, Monix, Akka Actors, Persistence, Cluster & HTTP, http4s, Tagless Final, and/or Scala.js, as well as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra. Experience with Event Sourcing & CQRS is also desirable.
