Job Title: Data Scientist/Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist/Analyst to join our team at the School of Public Health. The successful candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, experience in analysing epidemiological data using R, STATA, SAS or other statistical packages, and demonstrated expertise in the analysis of large and complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement statistical models to analyse epidemiological data
- Develop and maintain databases to store and manage large datasets
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify research questions and design studies
- Communicate research findings through reports, presentations, and publications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, informatics, data science or a related discipline
- At least 3 years' relevant work experience
- Strong quantitative background and experience in analysing epidemiological data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, in addition to annual leave and medical benefit. The appointment on fixed term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
