Data Scientist/Lead Data Analyst/Technical Lead in the School of Public Health
The School of Public Health at HKU is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist/Lead Data Analyst/Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the analysis of large and complex datasets, developing and implementing statistical models, and providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing statistical models to analyze epidemiological data
- Developing and maintaining databases and data systems
- Providing data visualization and communication support to stakeholders
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven opportunities
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong quantitative background, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in R, STATA, SAS, or other statistical packages is required. Knowledge of multilevel modeling and state-of-the-art statistical and epidemiological models is an advantage.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefit. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
