Senior Health Data Scientist

(Full-time, #hybrid)

Are you driven by a passion for life sciences, clinical data analysis, and nutrition? We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Senior Health Data Scientist at Danone Nutricia Research & Innovation (R&I) Center. Our team is at the forefront of life sciences, digital health, clinical operations, medical affairs, and biometric data science within our Global R&I Medical & Nutritional Sciences division. Our objective is to facilitate the development and validation of innovative medical and nutritional products.

In the capacity of a Senior Health Data Scientist, your contributions will be crucial. You will utilize your knowledge to:

  • Innovate: Create cutting-edge solutions employing advanced statistical and data science methodologies.
  • Generate Evidence: Analyze complex datasets from clinical studies, utilizing advanced statistics and machine learning, performing post-hoc analyses, reusing historical data, and conducting meta-analyses/systematic reviews to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Utilize Real-World Data (RWD): Examine extensive health datasets gathered from digital health tools in real-world or clinical study environments.

Help us in transforming the landscape of nutritional products through insights derived from data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-develop evidence generation programs: Collaborate with peers to design and execute evidence generation initiatives. Contribute strategically by aligning projects with scientific roadmaps.
  • Strategic Implementation: Comprehend and actively execute the scientific strategy through effective project contributions. Ensure timely and high-quality project and program execution.
  • Data-Driven Outcomes: Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning models to derive insights from multidimensional data from clinical studies. Efficiently gather, process, and analyze real-world data to create and validate new nutritional frameworks. Validate applications of Digital Health tools, including establishing quality criteria and defining appropriate usage contexts.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams, including Life Science, Digital Health, Biometrics, Data Science, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs. Provide expert data science and statistical insights to enhance decision-making.
  • Innovation: Play a significant role in the advancement of new data science innovations. Influence the future of nutritional products through insights grounded in evidence.

Primary Deliverable

As a Senior Health Data Scientist, your foremost responsibility is to guarantee the timely provision of high-quality (advanced) data science and statistical solutions for clinical projects. This vital role entails proactively steering the strategy and roadmap, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of nutritional products through insights based on evidence.

About You

  • You possess a relevant degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data science within the life sciences or clinical domain.
  • Previous experience in leading initiatives and contributing to strategic direction, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Statistical and Data Science: Extensive experience in advanced statistical and machine learning techniques in the health sector. Eager to introduce innovation in clinical research, including high-dimensional data, secondary use of clinical data, Real-World Data/Real-World Evidence, and validation of digital tool data in clinical trials. Proficient in programming languages such as R and Python, adhering to coding standards, best practices, and data standards, along with cloud-based IT systems and databases.
  • Commitment to Quality and Purpose: Familiarity with good clinical practices and quality management systems. Motivated by purpose, you are dedicated to contributing to Danone's mission of positively influencing health. Your strong communication skills in English facilitate effective collaboration.
