Senior Health Data Scientist
(Full-time, Hybrid Work Model)
Are you driven by a passion for life sciences, clinical data analysis, and nutrition? We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Senior Health Data Scientist at Danone Nutricia Research & Innovation (R&I) Center. Our team operates at the forefront of life sciences, digital health, clinical operations, medical affairs, and biometric data science within our Global R&I Medical & Nutritional Sciences division. Our goal is to facilitate the development and validation of innovative medical and nutritional products.
In your capacity as a Senior Health Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in:
- **Innovation**: Craft cutting-edge solutions utilizing advanced statistical methodologies and data science techniques.
- **Evidence Generation**: Analyze complex datasets from clinical studies, employing sophisticated statistical methods and machine learning. Conduct post-hoc analyses, utilize historical data, and perform meta-analyses/systematic reviews to support evidence-based decision-making.
- **Real-World Data Utilization**: Investigate extensive health datasets gathered from digital health tools in both real-world and clinical study environments.
Contribute to shaping the future of nutritional products through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- **Collaborative Evidence Generation**: Partner with colleagues to design and execute evidence generation initiatives. Align projects with scientific roadmaps to ensure strategic coherence.
- **Strategic Implementation**: Comprehend and actively engage in executing the scientific strategy through effective project contributions. Guarantee timely and high-quality project delivery.
- **Data-Driven Insights**: Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to derive insights from complex clinical study data. Efficiently gather, process, and analyze real-world data to create and validate new nutritional models. Validate the application of digital health tools, including establishing quality benchmarks and determining appropriate usage contexts.
- **Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration**: Work closely with diverse teams, including Life Science, Digital Health, Biometrics, Data Science, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs. Provide expert data science and statistical guidance to enhance decision-making processes.
- **Innovation Contribution**: Play a significant role in the development of new data science innovations, influencing the future of nutritional products through evidence-based insights.
Expected Outcomes
As a Senior Health Data Scientist, your primary focus will be to ensure the timely provision of high-quality data science and statistical solutions for clinical projects. This essential role involves proactively leading the strategy and roadmap, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of nutritional products through evidence-based insights.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a relevant advanced degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in data science within the life sciences or clinical domain.
- Proven track record in leading programs and contributing to strategic initiatives, with the ability to work autonomously.
- **Statistical and Data Science Expertise**: Extensive experience in advanced statistical and machine learning techniques within the health sector. Eager to introduce innovations in clinical research, including high-dimensional data analysis, secondary use of clinical data, and Real-World Data/Real-World Evidence (RWD/RWE). Proficient in programming languages such as R and Python, with a strong understanding of coding standards, best practices, and data management in cloud-based systems.
- **Commitment to Quality**: Familiarity with good clinical practices and quality management systems. Motivated by purpose, with a dedication to contributing to Danone's mission of positively impacting health. Excellent communication skills in English to facilitate collaboration.
