Research and Development Polymer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Polymer Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside fellow technicians, specialists, and engineers under the guidance of an experienced engineer. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating on multidisciplinary innovation projects, providing customer support, and conducting research primarily focused on chemical or process technology based on proposals from engineers and/or your manager.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Contributing to innovation projects and customer support activities, actively participating in project elements such as data analysis, data processing, writing/presenting reports to transfer knowledge.
  • Preparing project designs, planning, and execution of research independently according to established protocols and procedures of Biomaterials, consulting senior technicians, engineers, specialists, or managers as needed.
  • Ensuring documentation and reporting of procedures and results according to Corbion standards, reporting methods, results, and techniques used.
  • Analyzing, interpreting, and processing results of analyses or experiments, monitoring results during research and adjusting research when necessary.
  • Ppresenting and discussing results with the team, project team, or other departments.
  • Actively participating in maintaining facilities, equipment, and safety in the labs.

This role requires a strong foundation in polymer chemistry, processes, and analytics, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, a can-do mentality, and strong communication skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.

Estimated salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
