Electrical Lead Engineer

We are Uniper, an international energy company with a strong presence in the Benelux region.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Benelux region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in leading projects and teams in the power systems sector.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading technical feasibility studies and front-end engineering design for electrical installations and equipment.
- Creating technical specifications for electrical installations and equipment, including HV grid connection & switchgear, high power transformers/rectifiers, LV equipment, MCC, VSD, pumps, ventilation, lightning, cable routings, and equipment in ATEX zones.
- Developing process safety methodologies for engineering design.
- Leading multi-disciplined teams of permanent, temporary, and sub-contractor colleagues to deliver solutions on construction, installation, or major overhaul contracts.
- Witnessing factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, equipment commissioning, and plant handover.
- Authoring technical reports for internal clients.
- Requiring a Higher National Diploma or Degree level in Electrical Engineering, with a sound technical knowledge of electrical engineering design and/or practical application gained through relevant experience.
- Professional chartership status is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Initiative-taking individual with the ability to plan and organize workload and priorities.
- Developing people skills to enable effective working relationships within the team, in multi-discipline project teams, and with senior stakeholders.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets.
- The ability to work independently as well as working as part of a larger multi-discipline project team.
- Can demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems.
- Flexibility to travel for this role, within the NL, and sometimes internationally.
- Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Native Dutch language and fluent English required.
- A full NL driving licence.
