Senior Electrical Engineer Lead

We are Uniper, an international energy company with a strong presence in the Benelux region. Our team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Engineer Electrical Benelux to join our ranks.
About the RoleWe are seeking a talented and motivated individual to take on the role of Senior Lead Engineer Electrical Benelux. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects within the Benelux region, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical engineering projects within the Benelux region, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement technical feasibility studies and front-end engineering design for electrical installations and equipment.
- Create technical specifications for electrical installations and equipment, including HV grid connection & switchgear, high power transformers/rectifiers, LV equipment, MCC, VSD, pumps, ventilation, lightning, cable routings, and equipment in ATEX zones.
- Develop process safety methodologies for engineering design.
- Lead multi-disciplined teams of permanent, temporary, and sub-contractor colleagues to deliver solutions on construction, installation, or major overhaul contracts.
- Witness factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, equipment commissioning, and plant handover.
- Author technical reports for internal clients.
- Educated to a Higher National Diploma or Degree level in Electrical Engineering, with a sound technical knowledge of electrical engineering design and/or practical application gained through relevant experience.
- Professional chartership status is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Initiative-taking individual with the ability to plan and organize workload and priorities.
- Developing people skills to enable effective working relationships within the team, in multi-discipline project teams, and with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger multi-discipline project team.
- Innovative approach to solving problems.
- Flexibility to travel for this role, within the NL, and sometimes internationally.
- Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Native Dutch language and fluent English required.
- A full NL driving licence.
