Casualty Claims Resolution Role

AIG is seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster Casualty to join our team in Rotterdam. As a Complex Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling complex casualty claims, gathering relevant information, determining coverage, assessing liability, and quantum analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling complex casualty claims, including gathering information, determining coverage, and assessing liability.
  • Engaging, monitoring, and managing experts and lawyers where necessary.
  • Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts, clients, lawyers, victims, or their legal representatives.
  • Working with underwriters to turn claims experience into improved products.
  • Adhering to compliance and claims guidelines and playing an exemplary role towards other team members.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practice procedures for casualty complex claims, consistent with global best practice.

Requirements:

  • Experience with handling and settling casualty claims, including engaging, monitoring, and managing experts/lawyers and adjusting/taking control where necessary.
  • Fluency in Dutch. Knowledge of the English language is a plus.
  • Legal degree in Dutch civil law.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Commitment to service-quality & performing on a 'first time right'-base.
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
