At Marel, we're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our global procurement team as a Strategic Director of NPR Procurement.

We estimate the salary for this position to be in the range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

Overview:

Marel is a leading provider of food processing solutions. As a strategic leader, you will drive the development and execution of global NPR procurement strategies, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global NPR procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and assess procurement opportunities to drive value, cost savings, and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute category strategies for NPR spend categories.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.

Process Improvement:

  • Champion continuous improvement of NPR procurement processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop a digital roadmap for NPR, collaborating with relevant functions.
  • Implement best practices in procurement, including strategic sourcing, e-procurement tools, and supplier relationship management.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the procurement function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Cultural awareness and change management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
