Job OverviewWe are seeking an exceptional experimental physicist or chemist with a passion for single-molecule techniques and a drive to make groundbreaking discoveries. Your primary responsibility will be to design and conduct innovative experiments using optical tweezers and single-molecule fluorescence to investigate the real-time dynamics of ribosomes.
In this role, you will work closely with our international team, collaborating with leading researchers from Heidelberg University and ETH Zurich, who specialize in novel sequencing and cryo-EM methods. Together, we aim to provide unparalleled insights into the mechanisms underlying protein synthesis, shedding light on the intricate processes that govern the correct and erroneous production of new proteins.
You will develop new experimental schemes, employ cutting-edge techniques, adapt existing biochemical protocols, analyze complex temporal data, formulate new models, and present your findings in high-level scientific papers.
