Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Standardization Team at Damen Shipyards. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing standardized solutions for our range of ships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain standardized mechanical systems, parts, and solutions for our ship portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate standardized solutions into new and existing ship designs.
- Support the Services department and Yards in resolving issues related to standard designs.
- Ensure that standardized solutions comply with applicable rules and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering in the maritime sector.
- Specialized technical knowledge in one or two specific mechanical disciplines.
- Familiarity with Rules and Regulations and ability to interpret and translate them for our ship-type portfolio.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- English language proficiency is a must, Dutch language proficiency is a plus.
