About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing a portfolio of general ledger major and middle market business, in accordance with AIG's guidelines, authorities, strategy, processes, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, analyze, and defend an existing portfolio of business
  • Build up a profitable book of new business
  • Prepare risk referrals for new and existing business
  • Handle rater tools and prepare booking instructions
  • Participate in client/broker meetings
  • Monitor portfolio of the book in relation to claims
  • Handle the commercial relationship with clients and brokers
  • Give presentations, trainings, and take care of internal and external networking
  • Invest in different underwriting excellence initiatives
