Job Title: Data Protection Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Compliance Specialist to join our team at ING Bank NV. As a key member of our Data Protection Compliance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization complies with data protection regulations and laws.

About the Role

As a Data Protection Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and advising on data protection risks related to personal data processing activities
  • Coordinating global data breach events and reporting to the Lead Supervisory Authority
  • Providing advice on data retention obligations and challenging personal data processing via instruments like LIA, DPIA, and TIA
  • Steering consistency in approach and interpretation of the Data Protection and Data Retention Policies
  • Supporting final decision making on specific files and monitoring the implementation of solutions
  • Acting as a mentor to the DP Advisory team members
  • Overseeing completeness of coverage of ING's geographical areas
Requirements

  • Team player with trust and reliability
  • Adherence to the ING orange code values and the Banker's Oath
Technical Skills and Track Record

You will need:

  • 5-8 years of professional experience with Data Protection activities and related legal experience, preferably in a banking environment
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR regulation
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across functional and geographic lines
  • University degree, preferably in Law, or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
