We are seeking a visionary IT Director to drive our educational technology strategy, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence at The British School in The Netherlands.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to lead our team, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that enhance teaching and learning experiences. As IT Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategically planning and implementing IT initiatives that align with our educational goals and objectives;
  • Leading a talented team of IT professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and development;
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to inform technology-driven decision-making and policy development;
  • Managing budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost optimization;
  • Maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and security measures;
  • Fostering partnerships with external vendors and service providers to secure best-in-class solutions;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in IT management, preferably in an educational setting;
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, budget management, and team leadership;
  • Strong technical expertise, with a focus on cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders;
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in Dutch desirable;
