As a Trainee/Paralegal, you will be an integral part of the Catawiki legal team, supporting the international business in its ambitious growth targets. You will be responsible for providing high-quality support to legal counsels, handling a wide range of legal projects, including commercial law, consumer law, contract law, compliance, privacy, data protection, corporate law, sustainability/ESG, and artificial intelligence.

This role is perfect for someone with a "can-do" mentality, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to relate to people in various situations as a team player. You will have the opportunity to grow and help a wide range of people, working proactively to come up with solutions, plans, and ideas that enable the legal team to achieve its ambitious goals.

1. Supporting legal operations and maintaining the case management system
2. Assisting in the further development of the contract management system and other legal or compliance tooling
3. Drafting internal memos on specific relevant legal, regulatory, or compliance topics
4. Monitoring and reporting on several legal dashboard(s)
5. Reviewing and addressing legal questions raised by other departments
6. Taking notes during regular project meetings and sharing them afterwards, keeping track of deadlines and deliverables
7. Preparing simple training materials and legal guidelines for our business stakeholders, with support from the legal counsels
8. Further developing and updating the Legal Knowledge Hub, including links to templates, guidelines, do's & don'ts, and updating current content in alignment with the legal counsels

• Certification or associate's degree in law (bachelor's degree preferred) (or final stage)
• Traineeship with a non-negotiable minimum duration of 6 months
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency in English, with Dutch fluency preferred
• Residency in the Netherlands, preferably in the Amsterdam region

In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect:

• A €45,000 - €55,000 per year salary, depending on your qualifications and experience
