Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Oceanwide. As a Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Multicat vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engine room personnel and ensure the safe operation of all equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain the machinery and systems on board, with a focus on Multicat-specific operations.
  • Plan and execute maintenance and repair work, ensuring the reliability of key systems during lifting operations.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local maritime legislation, including Multicat-specific regulations.
  • Coordinate logistics for fuel, oil, lubricants, and other essential supplies.
  • Act as a liaison between the Master and engine room personnel to ensure clear communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory certifications, including STCW and a valid competency as Chief Engineer.
  • At least 2 years of experience as Chief Engineer, preferably with Multicats.
  • Extensive knowledge of machinery and systems related to towage.
  • DP-full certificates.
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures within towage.
  • Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written.
  • Proven leadership qualities and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
