Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our IT infrastructure for development, testing, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain our physical IT infrastructure, including networking, machine setup, and configuration.
  • Extend our Systems Lab with new hardware platforms under test.
  • Collaborate with our IT professionals to ensure correct access to our Systems lab.
  • Perform initial testing of new software features as part of our regular release flow.
  • Assist in the automation of our software product.
  • Identify and troubleshoot customer-facing issues, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software engineering and quality assurance.
  • Assist engineers and multi-functional teams in lab setup and planning based on given space, power, and cooling capabilities.
  • Setup, manage, and maintain test hardware systems, including debugging setup-related issues.
  • Manage and maintain sufficient inventory of key equipment, including cables, connectors, and adapters.
  • Occasionally assist development teams with manual testing as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic IT system management experience.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a deep understanding of technical areas such as scripting tools, programming languages, and testing frameworks.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Required Experience:
  • Basic IT system management experience.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Experience with troubleshooting computer and network-related issues.
  • Using basic hand tools, multimeter, and other electronic tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Familiarity with key networking concepts and configurations.
  • Experience with IT support is a plus.
