The Role
We are seeking a skilled Tender Engineer Marine Engineering to join our Proposals department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for conceptual and contract design of mechanical marine engineering systems for our state-of-the-art naval vessels. Your expertise will be crucial in developing innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements and comply with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define general system architectures, weight, power, and cost estimations, and main ships balances for our naval vessels.
- Contribute to requirements analysis, draft marine engineering specifications, and support subcontractor quotation processes and evaluations.
- Evaluate designs against requirements and prepare corresponding reports.
- Write technical documents, contract specifications, and reports to effectively communicate complex concepts and data to customers and suppliers.
- Participate in discussions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical and commercial aspects of proposed solutions.
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant experience in marine engineering design concepts and practices, preferably in complex naval projects.
- Excellent writing skills and a commercial mindset to deliver viable and attractive technical and financial forecasts.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, and a willingness to learn Dutch.
