About the Job

Tencent, a leading global technology company, is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join its team. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing a comprehensive Security SOC program for the company's internal IT and game studios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a robust Security SOC program to protect the company's infrastructure and data.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and Tencent Cloud product teams to build a best-in-class Cybersecurity SOC program.
  • Configure, implement, and manage SIEM, SOAR, and incident response processes to detect, analyze, and respond to security-related events and incidents.
  • Investigate security alerts for indications of breach or compromise.
  • Develop and maintain security dashboards and reports.
  • Maintain SIEM platform and data quality.
  • Collaborate with other teams and studios to investigate and respond to security incidents and potential breaches.
  • Create automation playbooks on SOAR platforms.

Requirements:
  • Self-motivated, articulate, and passionate about delivering high-quality results.
  • Technical expertise and ability to suggest custom solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently and learn new tools and technologies.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Knowledge of SIEM, ElasticSearch, and query languages such as SQL, SPL, KQL, and ES|QL.
  • Experience with SOAR automation tools and incident response processes.
  • Understanding of network protocols and architectures.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze and correlate large volumes of event logs.
  • Attention to detail and expertise in security technologies and tools.
  • Experience with executive-level incident reporting.
  • Programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, and Go are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
