R&D Innovator

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer to join our team at Bekaert. As an R&D Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative heat pump solutions that drive progress for our planet and people.

• Establish and maintain a deep understanding of heat pump systems and components.
• Continuously gather and update relevant technology and market knowledge to maintain technological leadership.
• Initiate and lead research initiatives related to product portfolios, design rules, and new concepts.
• Maintain a structured and accessible knowledge database, ensuring knowledge is effectively shared with colleagues.
• Contribute to the development of concepts and products, focusing on both short-term and long-term technological goals.
• Develops the "product of the future", USP is defined and protected by IP.
• Train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge on heat pumps.
• Communicate and document results in a clear and professional way.
• Stay updated on global rules, laws, and norms related to heat pump technology and inform the R&D organization.
• Build and maintain strong external relationships with customers, suppliers, universities, and other relevant entities.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced R&D Engineer with a strong background in mechanics, electrics, or energy. You should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and must have experience with heat pumps (development, application). You should be innovative, creative, and passionate about new heating technology. You should also be an effective team contributor, have strong analytical skills, and be proficient in English.
