Accounts Payable Specialist

The Role
As an Associate Accounts Payable at Genmab, you will be part of our global Finance and Accounting Team, collaborating as a strategic partner to clients, vendors, and internal departments. This hands-on role involves running and continuously improving our local accounts payable processes to support our rapid growth and operations.
Responsibilities
- Process daily accounts payable and ensure follow-up of all outstanding items.
- Review invoices on-hold and maintain pressure on purchasers for quick resolution.
- Verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment.
- Prepare and process payment batches.
- Respond to internal and external queries in a timely and adequate manner.
- Work closely with other teams to resolve PO-related issues promptly.
- Review and act on A/P balances, mismatching, refunds, and adjustments.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
Requirements
- MBO education in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in Accounts Payable/Finance, with a good understanding of the purchase-to-pay process.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, such as Open Text, VIM, or SAP, is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential.
- Dutch reading level is necessary for reading Dutch invoices.
- Proven experience working in teams is required.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
- Proven ability to be proactive, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary.
