Job Summary:

The System Service Engineer is a key member of our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, responsible for performing planned maintenance, repairs, and other verification/qualification services on laboratory instruments in a life science environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide planned maintenance and repair services for laboratory instruments
  • Implement new product introductions and ensure seamless integration into our operations
  • Mentor and engage in improving work efficiency and productivity
  • Display professionalism, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills
  • Follow all reporting responsibilities and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes
  • Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience and knowledge
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Basic technical and electronics/mechanical knowledge
  • Affinity with mentoring others and ability to self-direct
  • Punctuality and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven record of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Aptitude for learning and understanding instruments, IT systems, and processes

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to lift up to 25 kg and may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
