Oracle DevOps Engineer
32-40 hours per weekRole Overview
At A.S. Watson, a leading international health and beauty retailer, we are seeking an Oracle DevOps Engineer to join our Group IT team within the HR/Supporting division. This position is vital in ensuring that our software solutions effectively support our users and their workflows. Your mission will be to develop applications that enhance user satisfaction and streamline processes. By leveraging your expertise, you will phase out manual tasks and ensure seamless integrations with various systems.
Daily Responsibilities
- Engage in technical discussions with colleagues over coffee
- Prepare user stories for refinement sessions
- Develop new features for our HR planning system and conduct peer reviews of team members' work
- Participate in daily stand-ups via Teams with the HR/Supporting team
- Attend refinement meetings to estimate upcoming user stories
- Address 2nd line support tickets escalated by the HR Functional Management team

Ideal Candidate Profile
This position is suitable for individuals who:
- Have experience in analyzing and designing business requirements for HR systems or are eager to learn
- Can develop change requests using tools such as Oracle PL/SQL, APEX, Kafka, and Redwood RunMyJobs
- Are capable of documenting solutions in Atlassian Confluence and collaborating with offshore support teams
- Enjoy supporting international team members in system architecture and testing
- Are interested in collaborating with external software vendors to integrate applications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline
- Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX development
- Familiarity with scheduling tools
- Knowledge of performance tuning
- Experience with Kafka or other integration platforms is advantageous
- Fluency in both Dutch and English
