Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to lead our digital risk management efforts. In this role, you will manage a team of compliance officers, overseeing all second-line monitoring deep dives, compliance reports, and control room activities. You will also provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the successful alignment of goals and objectives within the department.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team in further developing the compliance function
- Oversee all second-line monitoring deep dives, compliance reports, and control room activities while executing second-line monitoring deep dives yourself
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the successful alignment of goals and objectives within the department
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the team's suite of products and services, as well as the execution of its activities. Establish the annual risk-based monitoring plan
- Lead the team through the regular management cycle, including objective setting and personal development reviews
- Serve as a senior specialist in areas of expertise such as Mi FID, AIFMD, AML, sanctions, and market abuse
- Build long-term relationships across departments within APG Asset Management and APG, ensuring cooperation and mutual alignment
- Act as a second-line compliance representative to both internal and external stakeholders

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong managerial and analytical skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and high standards for the quality of your work. You must also have well-developed organizational sensitivity and leadership qualities as described in the APG leadership profile. Additionally, we are looking for:
- An academic degree (Master's) in law, accountancy, economics, finance, or a related field, along with interest in digitalization and dashboards
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably in asset management
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory functions
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and international teams
- Experience in coordinating, guiding, and coaching a team
- The ability to interact effectively with senior managers and influence through various leadership styles
- Strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain connections both within and outside the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with comfort in engaging constructively with senior management and working within a large organization with multiple stakeholders
- An excellent command of the English language, both in writing and presenting
