Data Center Operations Manager

As a Hardware Operations Manager at Google, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations. You will communicate priorities and facilitate handoffs of operations to following shift leads. You will work together with your team to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware, with at least 8 years of experience. They will also have 5 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or agreement management, and delivery. Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure, and network and compute architecture and life cycle, and Linux/Unix system administration, is highly desirable.
In this role, you will lead one or more teams to deliver critical data center initiatives, identify trends via data analytics at the project level, and drive the changes needed to address them. You will be the point of contact for escalation for one or more data center sites, quantifying systemic issues and escalating when appropriate. You will work with partners to provide input into short-term and long-term strategy, process changes, and task orders for the site.
