Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified researcher to join our team as a Tenure Track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Software-Intensive Systems. The successful candidate will be part of the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and will contribute to the development of our research group in Software Engineering, Fundamental Computing, Information Systems and Distributed Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and develop a strong research line in Software-Intensive Systems
  • Supervise PhD students and contribute to the development of the degree programs of the School of Science and Engineering
  • Acquire external funding and promote the societal relevance of your research
  • Teach in and contribute to the development of the degree programs of the School of Science and Engineering, especially courses with computing science content
  • Contribute to the organization of the faculty, for example by participating in working groups and committees, in the domains of teaching, research and management
Requirements
  • PhD degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least two years of postdoctoral experience, preferably in a different country than where you received your PhD
  • Strong international research network
  • Excellent research qualities, as shown by a publication record in international peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of renowned conferences
  • Good track record in teaching, appropriate to your career stage
  • Demonstrable organizational competences
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Good command of spoken and written English
What We Offer
  • Full-time position as Assistant Professor
  • Salary, depending on qualifications and work experience, from € 4,332 (salary scale 11) up to a maximum of € 6,737 gross per month (salary scale 12, depending on your career stage)
