About the RoleWe're seeking a talented Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will provide technical consulting services to regulators, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
This role is responsible for reviewing and evaluating technical matters related to gaming regulatory compliance. You'll act as a technical conduit between regulators and laboratory testing, ensuring that tests are performed correctly and to the satisfaction of our clients.
You'll be an advisor on technical gaming regulations both internally and externally, providing expert guidance to help us stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service/support to regulators and suppliers
- Conduct evaluations of submission files, identifying any areas of regulatory concern and providing related determinations
- Handle incoming reviews/critical modifications, performing outgoing reviews/technical evaluations, and performing issues/bugs evaluations
- Develop certification report disclosures, evaluate documentation related to submissions/testing, and maintain current regulations/jurisdictional profiles
- Maintain a working knowledge of common industry technical standards and minimum internal controls for assigned jurisdictions
- Maintain familiarity with GLI Standard Series and Evolution, as well as jurisdictional process changes
- Perform reviews from a regulatory compliance stance on new verification utilities & procedures, develop/maintain internal procedural documentation, coversheets, forms, and test scripts
- Work with engineering groups in various offices on regulatory technical questions and issues, provide technical training/workshops to internal/external customers, and use JIRA to keep track of current projects
- Fluent in Portuguese (both written and spoken), Spanish is a plus
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent technical background
- Formal training, experience, or demonstrated competency may be evaluated and considered acceptable in lieu of educational requirements
- Must possess good analytical skills, great written/oral communication skills, including a passion for customer service
- Must have the ability to quickly assess issues, find solutions, and analyze results
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work as part of a team
- Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Gaming Laboratories International is a gaming company with over 33 years of experience in the industry.
