Your RoleAs a DevOps Coach, you will be instrumental in guiding and enhancing the capabilities of our Data Engineering teams. Your mission will be to foster a culture of continuous improvement in software development and operational practices. Utilizing your analytical expertise and experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies, you will help us evolve into an IT organization that prioritizes both customer and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Advocate for and mentor teams and leadership on best practices in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Assess existing DevOps processes and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
- Engage in performance discussions with teams and management to collaboratively identify improvement areas.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and practical labs to elevate team competencies.
- Promote a culture of ongoing improvement and automation.
- Encourage collaboration among DevOps teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Agile and DevOps practices.
- Serve as a thought leader in the continuous transition of DevOps practices, leveraging your expertise to guide transformation efforts.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow DevOps professionals, each managing distinct areas of focus and responsibility. The organization aims for a cohesive approach to IT transformation, and you will play a crucial role in shaping this strategy within your domain. Your stakeholders will include DevOps teams, Grid Owners, IT Leads, (Lead) Product Owners, and Chapter Leads, whom you will support in their growth and development.
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile and DevOps capacity with a strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean, Agile, and DevOps methodologies (including Agile scaling frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, and Nexus).
- Familiarity with software development practices, particularly CI/CD.
- Experience in Lean methodologies (such as Six Sigma).
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build rapport and inspire teams.
- A results-oriented mindset, capable of working with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
