About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager Machining to join our team at WFS PRO BV. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machining unit, which produces parts for landing gears for the most famous helicopters and aircraft.

Your primary focus will be on managing the team leads and working with them to ensure that production runs according to plan, budget, and quality. You will guide and facilitate your team leads, providing intensive coaching to help them develop their competencies.

You will also coordinate the work and delivery with representatives of our customers, maintaining full insight into the status of assignments to make timely adjustments. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement of the teams and improve our standards where possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage team leads to ensure production runs according to plan, budget, and quality
  • Guide and facilitate team leads, providing intensive coaching to develop their competencies
  • Coordinate work and delivery with customer representatives
  • Drive continuous improvement of teams and improve standards where possible
  • Responsible for achieving goals in quality, error reduction, safety, and environment
  • Create and maintain an open and honest culture
  • Contribute to strategy development and implementation

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, aerospace, or focused on Total Productive Maintenance. You should have extensive management experience in production and/or maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive management experience in production and/or maintenance, repair, and overhaul
  • Demonstrable experience with process improvement and change processes in a production environment
  • Experience with Lean in a production environment
  • Excellent command of the English language (speak and write)
  • Ability to quickly master the Dutch language
