About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a leading IT services company as a Java Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and delivering mission-critical IT solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, tackle complex challenges, and provide innovative solutions that add substantial value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with business needs while maintaining simplicity and effectiveness.
  • Address complex technical challenges, turning them into actionable solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions.
  • Adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization to uphold high software quality standards.
  • Support and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of growth and improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their challenges and provide IT solutions that meet their evolving needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in Java development, ideally Java 17 and Kotlin.
  • Proficient in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, microservices, Maven/Gradle, and REST APIs (SOAP/GraphQL is a bonus). Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab/Azure DevOps), and cloud-native development. Any experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g: Angular, React)
  • Fluency in Dutch (spoken and written) at C2 level.
  • Comfortable working across different client environments and cultures, balancing technical excellence with practical solutions.
  • Driven by complex challenges, with a knack for developing effective solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on building valuable relationships.
