Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python developer to join our team as an Event Streaming Specialist. As a key member of our backend engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing real-time systems that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance Python applications that integrate with event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our systems by implementing secure coding practices and adhering to industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python, event streaming, and related technologies to ensure our systems remain competitive and efficient.

Requirements

  • Significant experience with Python programming, including experience with Pandas and NumPy.
  • Strong understanding of event streaming concepts and experience with technologies such as Kafka.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience with OWASP Top 10 awareness.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with REST API design and containerization using technologies such as Flask and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CICD pipelines and experience with automated testing.

What We Offer

  • A competitive gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
