Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our team as an Event Streaming Engineer. As a key member of our Python team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure backends that support our business in real-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Python and event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
- Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backends using Python and relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions that meet those needs.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code meets our high standards for quality and security.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python, event streaming, and related technologies.
Requirements
- Significant experience with Python, including experience with Pandas and NumPy.
- Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and experience with OWASP Top 10 awareness and authorization flows.
- Fluency in English (Dutch is not a requirement).
Nice to Have
- Experience with REST API design using Flask or similar technologies.
- Experience with containerization using Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Experience with CICD using git and automated pipelines.
What We Offer
- A competitive gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
