EDCO is a dynamic and internationally operating trade organization with a strong presence in the market. With a diverse product range of over 24,000 items, we supply to various large and well-known DIY stores, garden centers, retail chains, and department stores. Our organization is constantly looking for new product ideas and has achieved significant growth through both autonomous and acquisition-driven strategies. As a global group, we consist of EDCO, SHI, Edelman, Newco, and MAXECOM, employing over 1,200 professionals. We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Group Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our organization. This position involves overseeing the reporting process for our 54 countries of operation, as well as handling tax, compliance, and M&A-related activities. As a key member of our small and close-knit team, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex financial issues, collaborating with the business, and participating in exciting projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a pleasant and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Consolidate the group's financial data and coordinate with foreign entities;
- Coordinate the monthly closing process;
- Prepare annual accounts and participate in the audit;
- Optimize financial processes to accelerate the monthly closing process;
- Co-responsible for tax returns and advising on various tax matters;
- Develop and analyze management and ad hoc reports;
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and implement changes accordingly;
- Participate in projects, such as implementing a new ERP package and consolidation tool;
- Act as a sparring partner and advisor on complex financial issues.
- Bachelor's degree in a financial field (Business Economics, Accountancy, etc.);
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a financial controller, (assistant) auditor, or a similar position;
- Experience with complex consolidation tasks;
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, commercially-driven environment;
- Strong communication skills;
- Fluent in English;

- Eindhoven region.
