Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at DAF Trucks N.V. in Eindhoven. As a global player in the heavy duty truck industry, we offer optimal opportunities to contribute to our success in a multicultural team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing, and validating the cybersecurity concept on vehicle-related control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the cybersecurity concept and resulting countermeasures considering control system capabilities, safety, and diagnostics.
- Align the cybersecurity concept and implementation with other stakeholders in the organization.
- Define cybersecurity requirements for new/updated ECUs.
- Discuss implementation proposals with suppliers.
- Define the crypto service functionality within the IT infrastructure.
- Functionally validate the cybersecurity concept.
Key Deliverables:
- Stakeholder requirement documents.
- Proposals from suppliers.
- Verification reports from suppliers.
Key Support:
- Root cause analyses of complex issues related to cryptographic calculations and diagnostic communication to ECUs.
- Definition of hardware requirements for new/updated ECUs.
- Simultaneous Engineering teams under the lead of a System Owner to support a successful integration in production.
The successful candidate will report regular status updates to the Property Owner Vehicle Cybersecurity and support the System Owners in achieving project milestones.
The Architecture department within Embedded Engineering is responsible for translating requirements into a physical Electric/Electronic (E/E) Architecture consisting of Control Systems.
RequirementsEducation:
- Technical education on bachelor or master level with a specialisation in CyberSecurity, mechanical-, electrical- or automotive engineering.
Working Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in automotive.
- Knowledge of embedded software and hardware.
- Knowledge of automotive standards like ISO 21434, ISO 14229 and Autosar.
- Experience with Vector tools like CANape and CANoe is a plus.
- Experience with risk assessment tooling is a plus.
