Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Independent Recruiters. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the debtor and creditor administration, as well as assisting in the daily financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and processing incoming purchase invoices;
  • Processing of the bank statements and assisting in the preparation of payment proposals;
  • Being the point of contact for suppliers and customers regarding questions about invoices;
  • Sending, monitoring, and administrative processing of sales invoices process;
  • Making proposals to improve the methods and procedures used with the aim of optimizing the service;
  • Following up with customers on outstanding invoices;
  • Supervising the financial administrative activities of the interns;
  • Assisting in the month-end closing procedures;
  • Expense processing.
Requirements:
  • University Degree (HBO+), preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar;
  • 2+ years of relevant experience;
  • Strong skillset in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel;
  • Proficiency working with various financial software and ERP systems;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch required.
What We Offer:

This role will have a monthly salary in the range of €3000 - €3500 gross per month, depending on knowledge level and experience. Additional benefits will be discussed in further detail throughout the interview process. This is a full-time - 40 hour position, and you must be currently based in the Netherlands without visa requirements.
